Modern Slavery Policy Statement

Modern slavery is a crime and an act that deprives a person’s dignity and liberty for another person’s gain, it is a direct violation of human rights. It is a significant problem for millions of people around the world, including many in developed countries, who are being held against their will and exploited in various forms of slavery. All companies are at risk of being involved in this crime so we ensure full transparency within our own business and are fully committed to preventing slavery and human trafficking in our operation and supply chain.

BlueSky Unified Communications Ltd are experts in Unified communication services and provide cloud based solutions weather this be simple voice and data, or full unified communication solutions which include video conferencing, messaging and presence, website integration and webinar services all Web RTC. Due to the nature of our business BlueSky Unified Communications exposure to the risk of modern slavery is reasonably low, nevertheless we have taken safeguarding steps which are outlined within this statement, in order for us to understand all potential modern slavery risks relating to our own business, allowing us to prevent slavery and human trafficking within our own operation. 

Supplier Due Dilligence

We maintain a relationship of integrity and trust with our suppliers, this is built upon mutually beneficial factors. Our supplier on-boarding procedure includes due diligence of reputation, respect for the law, compliance with health, safety and environmental standards.
BlueSky Unified Communications Ltd expects all of its suppliers to comply with their own modern slavery legal obligations, and periodically review their own arrangements with their respective suppliers from time to time to ensure these expectations are met.

Policies 

BlueSky Unified Communications operates the following policies in order to prevent or identify human trafficking and slavery within our operations: 

  • Code of Conduct – Our team are commited to maintain the highest standards of ethical behaviour throughout our business operation. We encourage employees to act professionally at all times and with the upmost of respect, by clearly stating the actions expected of them when representing the business
  • Whistleblowing – we encourage not only employees but customers and suppliers to report any suspicion of human trafficking and slavery without fear of reprisal. We provide full confidentiality  in order to protect the identity of whistle-blowers. 
  • BlueSky Unified communications do not use any form of forced, compulsory or slave labour, and its employees work voluntarily and are entitled to leave work at their discretion. Our employees are provided with an employment contract that contains a reasonable notice period for terminating their employment, and employees are not required to surrender their passports or work permits as a condition of employment.
     
Awareness

BlueSky Unified communications conduct business in a completely transparent and ethical manner, and are committed in the fight against modern slavery and human trafficking, and sufficient training is given to our staff to ensure this policy is adhered to. 

Our Director has the responsibility of reviewing this policy each year and for ensuring this policy complies with legal and ethcal obligations and that those within our control comply with it.  This statement constitutes BlueSky Unified Communication Ltd’s  human trafficking and modern slavery statement for the the financial year ending 2021, and is consistent with our disclosure obligations under the modern slavery  Act 2015.
